I wish I could test every possible service or peripheral for at least a day, or at the very least an install. The next best thing is reports from those who have such an opportunity. Celeste at obso1337.org got the chance to attempt to get Verizon’s EVDO working on a Kubuntu laptop. And it worked! There’s a report and some handy dandy instructions:
